The Pasquotank-Camden Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) is excited to offer this in-depth training about Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kits (SAECKs), provided by Katherine Ariano,MSN, RN, CCM, SANE-A, SANE-P

This training will cover the role of a SANE nurse, the steps in a SAECK, case connectivity, medical terminology and anatomy, the neurobiology of trauma, drug-facilitated sexual assault, injury, documentation, and courtroom prep.

This training is open to law enforcement, SANE nurses, prosecutors, social workers, advocates, and other professionals in Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Gates, Pasquotank, or Perquimans Counties. If you do not fit one of these categories, but have a professional interest in attending, please reach out to us prior to registering.

The training will also be live-streamed for those who need to attend virtually- the link will be e-mailed to all registrants prior to the event.
